The conversation with the two astronauts at the end was an interesting comparison of how men and women problem solve differently. While one instinctively tried to use his strength to counter his moves and then reassess to a more relaxed approach. Watching her evaluate her movements and test counter movements in short increments caught my attention because I noticed when she put her leg out to stabilize the third axis of rotation that no-one has talked about. Our equilibrium is naturally balanced at the rate of atmospheric pressure and gravitational pull here on earth, but in zero atmosphere plus head pressure in the space suit and 1/6th to earths gravity, I am very curious to know what the latency of information translation is in the human brain to accurately interpret the correct response without over correcting. Watching the astronauts on the surface of the moon and under water, you can clearly see the latency delay between recognizing something is different and finding an accurate precise corrected response. I suppose the only way to test that whole scenario is to actually be in the literal environment that requires those specific interactions. Like the one instructor said, some information is invalid because that particular input is not going to be in the real life situation. Fantastic video Destin!🤙

I know it's been over a year and a half since this video was released, but that screen in the combine is brilliant. If anyone happens to know, will it package and provide that data at the end with location so you can monitor which parts of your fields have done well and check it from year to year to see if you need to address issues like soil quality?

This video is very enlightening. Does anyone really believe that Artemis III won't be canceled in a few years, just like all of the previous "back-to-the-moon" boondoggles? And isn't it painfully obvious that no intelligent person would come up with such a needlessly complex Rube Goldberg design unless that were the whole point? The more more complex it is, the more time and money it will take, money supplied by taxpayers for the enrichment of the aerospace contractors and their shareholders (and to pay the salaries of NASA's top decision-makers). And once Artemis is gone, the rinse-and-repeat cash-cow cycle will begin again. Wise up.

Destin - here’s a microwave fyi for you. Opening the door before the unit has shut down is one of the primary ways to cause a microwave to fail. The door switch is a safety device which is not intended to be used as a primary oven control. There is current flowing through the switch when the microwave is in operation and, though interrupting it while the oven is in operation does cause the unit to stop, doing so (even at the last second) will cause the contacts in the switch to spark as the contacts separate. This will burn the contacts in the switch and eventually that internal sparking will oxidize the switch contacts to the point of failure.

Wow, Destin. Your videos, including this one, are packed full of information, but knowing that you got to do all of this with your dad brought me to tears. I lost my dad in 1989 when I was 11. He'd be amazed at today's technology, and I know he'd love your videos as much as I do.

22:55 the screeching with a methalox engine is more challenging to control than with a keralox. Ok. How about a Hydrolox engine? Hydrogen and oxygen react even more actively than methane and oxygen. Wouldn't that be even more challenging to control?

I was in the path of totality in Oregon in 2017, and I heard all of this same hype and buildup about it. What a letdown. Yes, it was interesting and unusual, but nothing that you couldn't visualize without experiencing it. What most surprised me was that it did not turn to "night" but only to twilight. Neither my wife, my son, nor I were "awestruck," and it was not "life-changing." What I learned from it is not to be fooled by overemotional enthusiasts. If Peggy Lee had seen it, she probably would have added a stanza to her song "Is That All There Is?"

Back again and will continue to try to absorb more information with each visit! Only dedication, determination and forethought by the hundreds of people made this possible! Thank you Mr. Talley for your many years of service, what an astounding accomplishment ! I would imagine that sometimes your contributions to this project is overwhelming, well done!!

You should have used the correct resin system for casting molds instead of the fast-setting resin used for coating tables etc. Then let the resin set completely around the Rupert's drop so that it prevents outward movement. That way you should see the fragmentation clearly. I'm not sure what you expected by just increasing the viscosity of the medium around the glass. It should be solid.

There’s just something special about experiencing life events with your dad. That being said, something as simple as eating McDonald’s with your dad can be one of those life events. My dad is 91 and still brings us donuts he found for $2 a dozen. We can’t possibly use all of the donuts but I love that he comes by and delivers them personally. Life event.
